Safeguarding

We are committed to providing an upmost safe secure environment where the health, safety and wellbeing of children is most importance. Our commitment is that young people will enjoy their time in our class sessions, achieve their full amazing potential and make a positive contribution.

To ensure a safe environment for pupils and students is maintained, all volunteers and STEM ambassadors go through a thorough Vetting process and includes DBS checks on volunteers’ including Vetting and Barring Checks in accordance with the new current legislation 2021. All educators and volunteers are required to have an ‘Enhanced DBS’ (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate before offering support. All volunteers will be required to subscribe to the DBS update service. See Safeguarding policy updated 9 May 2023 for further ‘Model Whole Settings’.
